Dispensation of Conscience

Following the fall from innocence, God established the dispensation of conscience. During this period, humanity's understanding of right and wrong was largely guided by an internal moral compass. This dispensation was characterized by a lack of specific written laws, which enabled individuals to exercise their God-given discernment.

Dispensation of Human Government

In the dispensation of human government, God introduced the concept of civil authority and human laws to govern society. This period witnessed the rise of civilizations and the establishment of governmental systems to maintain order and justice. However, humanity's corruption and rebellion against God grew, leading to the next dispensation.

Dispensation of Promise

In this period, which began with God's calling of Abraham, God made a covenant with the Hebrew people, promising to bless them and make them a great nation. Through them, God intended to bring salvation to all of humanity. This dispensation is marked by God's faithfulness to His promises and His formation of the nation of Israel.

Dispensation of Law

During the dispensation of law, God revealed His divine laws to guide His people in righteous living. The Ten Commandments and various ceremonial and moral laws were given to the Israelites through Moses. However, humanity's inability to keep the law perfectly highlighted our need for a Savior and laid the foundation for the next dispensation.

Dispensation of Grace

The dispensation of grace, often considered the current period, commenced with the coming of Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus accomplished salvation for all who believe in Him. During this dispensation, humankind is offered forgiveness and reconciliation with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Dispensation of the Kingdom

This future dispensation is yet to come, representing the reign of Christ over the earth for a thousand years, as prophesied in the book of Revelation. Through this dispensation, God will fulfill His promises to Israel and bring about the final restoration of all things.
